When you hear our Esteemed Minimizers drone on about all the life-giving immunity American children are supposed to have to Covid, ignore them. These people work for business & billionaires at humanity’s expense. When your kids become disabled & die, they won’t be there to help

I will never understand the objection to masks in healthcare. It’s where the sickest people are, and where the strongest & most treatment resistant bugs thrive. People can’t “just stay home” when they need healthcare, and no one should be forced to choose between care & covid

If you have Nystatin mouth gargle, this study suggests it should not be used if you get COVID—as it boost SARS-CoV-2 viral replication.

This is so cool. I’m pleased to share version 1.0 of our new dashboard for displaying data from our wastewater metagenomic project. This is a collaborative projected between MU, U. Wisc Dave O'Connor, and SecureBio; funded by Inkfish and Open Philanthropy. 1/ lungfish-science.github.io/wastewater-das…

People aren’t going to survive repeated Covid infections, but they don’t often die mid-infection. You may feel tired after “recovery.” Later you may get a few new diagnoses you don’t connect to Covid from 1-2 years ago, & experience frequent infections you don’t connect it to

Jawdropping data here showing dozens of #viruses - many rarely even discussed or tested for on a regular basis - in sewage collected from wastewater in multiple USA cities. The viruses are identified via unbiased sequencing that can identify any viral genome in the samples.

There's an effort afoot to try to save #GMRLN (pronounced Gremlin), the global #measles & #rubella lab surveillance network that was reliant on US funding that has disappeared. It costs a pittance, in global health terms, to run. Its loss would be huge. statnews.com/2025/06/09/tru…

Made a CR box for one of my children's friends families that has just been living in the smoke on Friday. They called me today to tell me how dramatic the difference in their house was. Folks, you don't have to just choke on the smoke 24/7 (and you shouldn't)

Well, this is interesting. Mannose coated extracellular vesicles associated with LC and a means to remove them. Reminds me of the "blebs" formed by borrelia with Lyme disease. But unless combined with antivirals, wouldn't reservoirs just make more? Maybe both needed long-term.
