Our latest coral CRISPR paper is out at PNASNews. We extended our methods to study gene function in coral juveniles. We found that a hard coral-specific bicarbonate transporter is required for coral skeleton formation. pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

New preprint: Genome assemblies and genetic maps for Caribbean Acropora palmata and A. cervicornis! Both species have 14 chromosomes and largely similar genome structure. Notable exceptions were a 2.5Mb inversion and a 1.4 Mb translocation.
