I have just published an important essay on the theological turn. I am proud on this text but I don't feel well: the war, uncertain future; does theology/philosophy make any sense any more? I hope that there is hope "after" all this... what about you? degruyter.com/document/doi/1…

My wife & I were watching the Ricciardo episode of #DTS. She turns & says, "wait, why would you want to beat your teammate? He's on your team!" In comes Will Buxton explaining the difficult relationship between teammates. A perfect example of why series works as it does.

You're not the only one. When I heard him talk about the book, as someone born off the Blue Ridge Parkway, I already felt used. Skipped the book because I knew that it'd either be some nostalgic wankoff or some manifesto screed that would be used for a life in politics.

Anyone going to the CTSA and want to meet up? First time for me in a long while, and I imagine my old group of colleagues wont make it, sadly.

The worst thing about online academic conferences is that no one talks outside of the program. Here we are, all waiting the talk to begin, I say good morning &... silence. When the talk is over... silence. No possibility to ever get to meet anyone new or have a fun discussion.

Flying — or at least getting booked and into the airport — has never been more stressful! Post-COVID, you can tell that they're just making it up as they go along which is what we're all doing to be fair! Off to Atlanta for the Catholic Theological Society of America conference!

Gen Q for #Academic twitter. If you're an anthology editor how do you show that on Google Scholar (I only see author options). I'd like for ppl to find the work via my profile, also my uni looks at GS for exposure (don't complain, it is what it is, serious replies welcomed)

The flip side is that Trump ran an awful campaign. He gave a terrible RNC speech, his VP was deeply unpopular, he lost the debate, he had no ground game to speak of, he offended key demographic groups ... and none of it mattered.

For me, at least, the internet has ruined this side of collecting. It's no longer about the treasure hunt, it's about what you can afford.
