I wanted to refresh my maps plotting skill, so I delved into the latest French European election results, focusing on District 01 data (thanks Consulate of France in New York ). Surprising to see more registrations in Montreal than NYC and a clear North/South turnout disparity.

Hey, people enjoing #ASV2024! If you want to know more about SARS-CoV-2 spike evolution and phenotype, Wilhelm Furnon is presenting today our study.

Thank you to @TimothyAWatkins and Krupa Subramaniam Krupa Subramaniam for representing the Foxman lab at #FOCIS2024! FOCIS Yale Department of Immunobiology

Great news! Our research led by @TimothyAWatkins and Ellen Foxman was published in Journal of Experimental Medicine last week and suggests that children's strong nasal immunity might be linked to a high burden of viruses & bacteria. Article available here! hubs.la/Q02F250H0

Excited to share our paper on bat coronavirus (BANAL-CoV) pathogenesis and immunity led by Mario Peña-Hernández 🇲🇽 in our lab and Prof. Akiko Iwasaki lab. What did we find? 1/n Yale Department of Immunobiology YaleMicroPath Yale School of Medicine nature.com/articles/s4156…

Paper out! Using the murine parainfluenza virus Sendai, Ítalo Araújo Castro beautifully demonstrates that viral RNA and protein found in innate immune cells long after the acute infection is resolved contribute to chronic lung pathology nature.com/articles/s4156…

A much neglected but increasingly important neurotropic pathogen, #Toscana virus, spread by #sandflies, is now endemic across much of the Mediterranean. See our new review by Yonca Keskek Turk et al published in Microbiology Society microbiologyresearch.org/content/journa…

.Ellen Foxman lab reveals that children screened for #SARSCoV2 have heightened natural immunity in their noses compared to adults due to more exposure to viruses & bacteria. hubs.la/Q02_5LT80 📘 From the Year in Experimental Medicine: hubs.la/Q02_5nL70

So excited to have this paper out now! Pyroptotic EVs “transplant” gasdermin pores from dying cells onto bystander cells, propagating pyroptosis and inflammation. cell.com/cell/abstract/… @uconnresearch UConn Health 1/3

🚨🔔 Delighted to see this piece of work from MRC-Uni of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research now out in Nature Microbiology! Indeed, it really reflects what multidisciplinary team effort can be. Guess what? Spike of #SARSCoV2 is not just about antigenicity/immune evasion… doi.org/10.1038/s41564…

We're recruiting a lab technican to carry out virus pseudotype assays, PCRs and epigenetic ageing of bats to support a #wellcome funded project on bat rabies. Apply by 12 Feb! jobs.gla.ac.uk/job/research-t… MRC-Uni of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research UofG SBOHVM Bats 'N' Viral Bytes
