Families in Edinburgh say they’re devastated after funding which allows children with additional support needs to go to after school club was cut. The Council say it’s looking at alternative support after reviewing a contract. More on the STV News at Six in the East.

I’m deeply disappointed and concerned with The City of Edinburgh Council decision to withdraw after school care for pupils with additional support needs. There has been some reinstatement but this doesn’t go far enough. I’ve written to Education Convenor to urge immediate action on this.

“There’s been some panicked reinstating to some individual families over the last week, which in my opinion has been handled in a very chaotic and stressful way” Juliana Capes says families like hers are still nervous, after u-turn on funding for ASN after school places.
