Yesterday the Governor signed a bill to fund permanent suicide‑prevention barriers on the Washington Avenue Bridge at the University of Minnesota. I graduated from the U of M and I’ve walked that bridge many times. It’s heartbreaking that 3-5 lives are lost there every year.
