One thing missing in so many programs today is the development of leadership. Kids have a hard time leading because they’re used to having adults control everything. We have to give up some control for leadership to develop. It’s hard for many adults, but very necessary for kids!

Post season won’t care: If you’re ranked If you have the best player That you’re undefeated That you have an All American That you won your district/conference That you’re hurt/tired What you think you deserve What you’ve done Anything can happen! That’s why we play the games!

If you are looking for speed you will not find it in the weight room. Get out and sprint. Yes just sprint, forget drills and sprint ten to 40 meters.

I want to give Abdeen his due. In 2022 he was one of the slowest sprinters on the team. He was running the 100m in the high 13s and low 14s. Now he went 11.4 and is the top sprinter in our league. Does the work and keeps to the plan. #FeedtheCats Tony Holler

A reminder to Sprint-Based 🏈 coaches. If you chase two rabbits, you’ll never catch the fast one. Chasing both speed AND endurance this summer will limit your speed gains. Patiently build capacity, don’t chase endurance.
