"Why are there so many people in SNAP?! You all need to get to work!" Excluding children and elderly individuals, the reason why so many people are on SNAP is because this country allows businesses to pay people unlivable wages, which effectively makes SNAP a corporate subsidy.
The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP. Bezos is worth $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP. The people who need help are not the problem. It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage
