… vs some of the many figures (incl women) in Byzantium, the Islamic world, & Latin Christendom in the 600-year ‘gap’. That’s only focusing on traditions centrally responding to the Greeks. (There’s lots of philosophical activity in e.g. East/South Asia not represented here!)
