The BBC Politics obsession with Reform leads them to report on a council by election, which they lost. How awkward for Chris Mason and Laura Kuenssberg! Congrats Durham Lib Dems bbc.co.uk/news/articles/โ€ฆ

The entire UK political/media narrative on welfare is that it is "burgeoning", "a burden" & "unsustainable". But how high is it compared to others? UK welfare is 10.8% of GDP in 2023 (including pensions). Finland spends 25.7% of GDP; France 23.8%: both double the UK.

Why hasnโ€™t the Premier League punished Manchester City yet for their decade long cheating? Itโ€™s 2025 and for their #115Charges they should be relegated, a 5 year transfer ban and stripped of all their silverware they won through cheating.

Simply making Amazon pay their tax in the UK would be enough to pay for lifting the 2 Child Benefit Cap. Amazon have a Revenue of ยฃ27bn in the UK but usually pay NO tax at all.

Voting for a politician based off a reality tv show and not for his policies or what he stands for is just so lazy to me but I guess it summarises the British public

It's been 17 years since arguably the most well-known tennis match of all time was played, the 2008 Wimbledon men's singles final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and as good as it was, it cannot be overstated how much aura it gained by finishing in near darkness. โœจ

What is Zak Crawley doing? (@zakcrawleyfan) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I think weโ€™re being too harsh on Zak Crawley. Yes, heโ€™s got out cheaply, but we lost by bowling poorly and getting 6 ducks in the 1st innings. Crawleyโ€™s opening partnership won us that 1st game, and this game India have played flawlessly. Heโ€™s an easy scapegoat yet again.

Under the Tories, seven Sure Start centres were closed in the Northfield constituency. Labour is investing in the best start in life for thousands more children.

Some action footage from Thursday in Larryland. Yes, he's not getting any younger, and could maybe do with a comb, but he's still looking good.

Akash Deep was absolutely superb on a batter friendly surface but quite rightly the player of the match goes to Shubman Gill- simply incredible. India were nearly perfect. The series is on! 1-1. To Lordโ€™s we go!

Farrukh I have been saying this for quite some time and now his mask is well and truly slipping. He is bored of tiptoeing around, he believes he is in the top position & just like his pal over the pond, he can now say what he wants which is nationalism and social order, with a distrust

Guess what Beth Rigby, Sam Coates, Chris Mason, Henry Zeffman and Robert Peston all have in common...? Not one has tweeted anything on James McMurdoch resigning the whip over fraud allegations. But some had time to tweet about an imaginary Corbyn party's impact on The Labour Party...

Unlikely because we must beat them in the Senedd election next year - not because they donโ€™t want to. One of the only consistent things about Nigel Farage over decades is a wish to end the NHS as we know it

John Foster (@johnfoster12) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Precisely. A number of problems with BazBall now. Other sides are capable of scoring quickly. It requires pitches that donโ€™t seam or spin. In consequence we now have a mediocre bowling attack (which is often unfit).
