There’s much ignorance about how the HM Treasury education VAT gouge operates. It’s not a tariff on schools, it’s a tariff on a class of parents who pay for but don’t use their state funded place. Those parents have various reasons & for many the state place is inappropriate.

The phrase, “PM announces…” under this current UK govt, is absolutely devoid of meaning.

Not a word out of place. Just imagine if Phillipson was Minister for Defence, but claimed she was only defending 93% of the population. Then again - maybe that’s not such a great analogy.
