I am not disturbed by government leaders exalting Christ. I am disturbed by these leaders exalting Christ in order to manipulate Christians. I am even more disturbed by Christians praising this false piety bc it suits their political agenda.

My rules for listening to a public official making religious/moral claims 1. I ask: Do I believe then bc I WANT to believe them or bc their actions back up their claims 2. I Remember: EVERY public official is motivated by the same thing - your good opinion/vote - not truth
