New painting from a recent suggestion. In 1997 a fissure near Pillan Mons erupted on #Jupiter's moon #Io. It Produced huge amounts of lava that reached a nearby caldera Called Pillan Patera creating massive lava falls almost 3 km high. I tried to depict this event here.

this build is nearly done, it's structurally complete but still can't do the centrifuge bit it's just under 500 parts, the most part-heavy build i have made in a while

The force awakens in newborn stars. Hubble captured some cosmic "lightsabers" far, far away. These are actually young stellar jets, colliding at fast speeds with nearby gas and dust. Happy Star Wars Day from the Hubble team!

Cosmic lightsaber. The Hubble Space Telescope once captured a photo of a newborn star shooting out two bright jets out into space. Much more energetic than a sci-fi lightsaber, these narrow beams are blasting across space at over 100,000 miles per hour. This celestial

Start your week with some new photos from Artemis II! Though our journey around the Moon has ended, we're still retrieving plenty of new images. Keep an eye on our Artemis II multimedia gallery for image highlights from the mission: go.nasa.gov/4usiN8W

One of the main reasons i want Mobile Launcher 2 to survive despite the stop work order, is because of these cool little arch things that stick up beside each SRB. They just look real cool and ML1 doesnt have them

The view from inside Integrity as recovery forces pop open the hatch…watching the helicopter pass over their shoulders and hearing all the joy, it was as good as it gets.
