Teachers don't leave because it's hard. Teachers are some of the hardest working professionals I know. They leave because the amount of work no longer is comparable to pay, respect, and value that they deserve for the workload.

For 2023, let’s remember THIS. Asking teachers to do β€˜ONE MORE THING’ and not removing anything else from their plate doesn’t help anyone. β€’It doesn’t help Teachers! β€’It doesn’t help Test Scores! πŸ™„ β€’And it certainly doesn’t help STUDENTS!

The oil and gas industry experienced profits up by 1000% since 2019, adding an extra $38 billion to corporate coffers in the last 12 months. Meanwhile in #Alberta 1 in 6 children live in poverty. Excuse me while I throw up.

Reminder many kids go without psychiatrists/psychologist, SLPs and OTs because its become a for profit industry. FSCD gives some funding for those who qualify for a short period of time. Most kids have their disabilities for life. Privatized is already here #ableg #abhealth

I don't understand how having to be removed from class daily doesn't automatically trigger an emergency IEP meeting to revise the IEP. It pisses me off that the educational rights of all students don't matter equally.

Adrianna moans that the last curriculum is from 1996. Another lie. The last curriculum was written in 2018, but the UCP tore it up so Kenney could hire a handful of inexperienced pals to try their hand at what typically 600 qualified people do.

#Ableg πŸ”₯ 🧡 Alberta is on fire. Alberta had one of the BEST wildfire programs in the world until 2019. Despite MULTIPLE warnings, the United Conservative Party of Alberta cut TENS of MILLIONS from firefighting programs. We’re now seeing the consequences Let’s review 6 MAJOR UCP wildfire cuts!

If you think I’m going to get all worked up about some wacko who attempted shooting of a man who threatens U.S. citizens every fucking day of the week for almost a decade….yeah…it’s not going to happen. Donald Trump is not a Presidential candidate. He is a fucking felon. A

After cutting their wildfire budget from $130M in 2017 to $100M, eliminating the 63-man Aerial Rapattack Team, closing 30 of Alberta’s 127 Wildfire Lookout Towers & cutting fire training, Alberta is now preparing to ask the fed gov for Armed Forces help to fight their #wildfires

Alberta is on fire. But hey, we have a budget surplus. Albertans are dying without cancer treatment. But hey, we have a budget surplus. Classroom are crowded, and teachers are exhausted. But hey, we have a budget surplus. This is winning in #Alberta. #abpoli

The Alberta Fire Chiefs (Alberta Fire Chiefs Association) knew this season was going to be bad, & they asked the Alberta government for urgent help in January. They eventually got a few scraps, but it's painfully obvious that it was too little, too late. How's that $4B surplus, Dani 🫀? #ableg
