I am attending book launch, learning more about SystemsConvening, which is leadership engaging people across boundaries, across the #SocialLandscape to solve complex problems. #SystemsConvening wenger-trayner.com/systems-conven…

I have a better understanding of {tidymodels} after workshop by Astrid Radermacher, PhDingus, @AbrahamsAmieroh, and Andrew B. Collier. Nice to be able to attend Applied Machine Learning Days Africa 2021 conference remotely.

The {tidymodels} workshop by @FathomData at Applied Machine Learning Days Africa 2021 conference was well-organized and very informative. I liked working through two different data sets repeatedly. Thanks, Astrid Radermacher, PhDingus, @AbrahamsAmieroh, Andrew B. Collier.

I am still learning #tidymodels. It helped to have 4 tutorials rolled into 1 long session today from RStudio's Phil Bowsher, Edgar Ruiz, Max Kuhn, 🦋 Tom Mock. #rstats PharmaSUG 2021 pharmasug.org/us/2021/traini…

Insightful discussions at Future of Work this evening re: "Reinventing Masculinity at Work" with Ed Frauenheim. e.g. flatter, distributed organizations with cross-functional teams require persuasion and collaboration, rather than command-and-control.

I love online conferences when I cannot travel. Attended combined JChateau.org and JAlba this morning from #JAuldAlliance. Unconferences work especially well in the online format (blog.crisp.se/2016/08/30/hen…). SpatialChat worked well as venue.

PDX Graph Meetup re-starting after long being dormant. Small turnout tonight, but great discussion. I learned more about @Neo4j graph database (@tony_chiboucas) and Quine.io streaming graph (Ryan Wright). Looking forward to future meetings! meetup.com/pdx-graph-meet…
