On a day for the history books, Amanda Gorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it."

Speechwriter Vinay Reddy did an excellent job this week with Joe Biden’s inauguration. Apparently he analysed Churchill’s speeches looking for examples of “rhetoric for good” to unite a nation with “so much more than words”. This is my analysis of his outstanding effort. 🌈🇺🇸

We often talk about empathy at work, but sometimes what we actually need is "TACTICAL EMPATHY". I've been learning about it from @VossNegotiation and his excellent coaching on MasterClass. I highly recommend his book "Never Split The Difference" if you haven't read it yet. ⚖️

People who love cars take them to pieces to see how they work. I like taking stories to pieces to see why they work. This week I've been deconstructing my favourite movie to take a closer look at what made it so great. "Words and ideas can change the world..." ✏️🌍

In business we talk a lot about finding your “why”. I think we should be helping each other to discover our IKIGAI instead 🇯🇵 ⛩

In 2006 Sir Ken Robinson ❤️ delivered the most popular TED Talks of all-time. I've always wanted to understand WHY it was so good so I tried to figure it out. There are many reasons why (he loved Aristotle) but I like to think that it because he didn't use PowerPoint.

I’ve been obsessing over Anthony Bourdain this week to understand how he told “stories that matter”. 🍜 “I don’t have to agree with you to like or respect you”. 🍱 (Not a bad philosophy for Twitter either).

Have you ever wondered how systemic change occurs? How progress actually happens? This week I've been studying accelerated behaviour change and how technology (historically) has made the world work better. Scientists call it 'SMUBA' - the 5 stages of systemic change. 💚🌍

Is it possible to PREDICT how an audience will RESPOND to your story before you tell it?   This is possibly the most fascinating personal research project I’ve ever done. #EarthDay #EarthDay2025 linkedin.com/posts/jeremypa…
