4th book of summer. Don't laugh! The Real Housewives series is a guilty pleasure of mine, so of course, I had to read this 😂 Bravo

Book #5 of the summer was a very good one! Didn't love it at first (wasn't a fan of the protagonist), but couldn't put it down once I got to the middle/end. Even though it was a little predictable, I still really liked it! #SummerReading

Book #6 of #SummerReading (nice not to have any classes this summer!). Typical beach read- easy reading & a bit predictable &, my favorite, mainly set on the Cape (i'm a sucker for Cape settings 😉).

Teaching my first college class and realizing that my students haven’t been exposed to really good, impactful writing like they’re expected to do in college. We read a lot of fiction and creative nonfiction, but they’ve only read ‘academic’ texts for a test and it shows.

One of the best interventions for poor hallway behavior is having every staff member stand in the hall during transitions whilst narrating the expectations. Problem is… depending on the school… some will do it, some won’t. What’s the magical way to get everyone doing this?

This is a perfect summary of secondary students in American schools…. They just don’t even care. Parents- that part is on you. Teachers don’t have much to make your kids care. Sure we plan for engagement. Sure we differentiate. Sure we provide multiple opportunities for success.

High schools need reading specialists and math specialists.

With the generosity of families and NHS students, we were able to put out a phenomenal spread for Teacher Appreciation Day, replace a Keurig, and add 2 toasters! Ty, all, but especially the teachers!
