30% of Australians rent. That's not even talking about the grown ass adults who still live with their parents because they can't even get a place. 7.7 million people. There are about 2.5 million landlords. Each tenant only needs to eat 0.35 landlords to fix the problems.

A bad time for a landlord means they may have to sell their extra properties. A bad time for a renter is homelessness. These are not the same thing, and housing policy in this country should not be treating these two outcomes as the same.
