🧵Thread with examples of why it’s dumb to say “CO2 is only 0.04% of the atmosphere, so it can’t possibly have an effect!” It’s time to just ignore the “400ppm is too small to have an impact” meme…

We found the Moho today above the Challenger Deep. Here’s a piece of cut serpentinized peridotite from just a bit shy of 6000 m water depth.

Sharks eating dinosaurs! At the charming Národní muzeum in Prague. Totally morbid paleoart. But based on one of the few Czech dinosaur fossils, an ornithopod bone crisscrossed with the razor blade bites of sharks.

These revised milestone were based on a lit review conducted in *2019*, before any impacts from COVID. I really wish there were ways to report misinformation on here. (Comments are locked.)

I've been planning a 2+ week trip to the US this spring for months. I would have spent several thousand dollars. I've changed plans to go to UK instead. Like most Canadians, I will not be visiting or supporting a country that has decided to destroy our economy for LOLs. #tarrifs

Re-upping this. Still trying to track down this paper in Irish Journal of Earth Sciences. Can anyone with a large university library help? Tried emailing author and GSI to no avail. (Aside: Isn't it crazy how hard it is to access academic work, even for academics...)
