Peace is not a utopian ideal. #Peace is a humble path made up of daily actions, and is woven with patience, courage, listening, and action. Today more than ever, peace requires our vigilant and creative presence.

A million people marched against the illegal war in Iraq and they were right. Now the same script is playing out again. Same lies, same institutions, same push for war. We can’t let history repeat itself.

How can we believe, after centuries of history, that acts of war bring peace and do not turn against those who wage them? How can we hope to lay the foundations of tomorrow without cohesion and a shared vision inspired by the common good?

Personally, I find genocide way more offensive than how an artist chooses to express their anger, over said genocide.

Why is our media and political class more outraged by musicians showing solidarity with Palestine than by a UK government directly complicit in genocide? Condemn war criminals, not musicians. Ban arms sales with a genocidal apartheid state, not non-violent direct action groups.
