#ICRA40 Day 1: lots of great speakers and a panel discussion with some of the great thinkers in robotics. Some highlights were Ken Goldberg's talk summarising the limits of scaling AI for robotics and the place of GOFE plus talks by Sangbae Kim, Yukie Nagai and Ruzena Bajcsy


Day 2 of #ICRA40 - Interactive presentations instead of posters and some inspiring and enlightening talks by Nick Roy, Oliver Brock from the RBO Lab - TU Berlin and Dieter Fox from NVIDIA Robotics.


Day 3 of #ICRA40 featuring an interactive session talking about DreamUp3D a 3D single-view Object-Centric #GenerativeAI Model (OCGM), the 40th birthday party for ICRA and the always engaging Marc Raibert talking about Boston Dynamics and @the_ai_inst



First of the "ML Nosh" series at University of Oxford with M A Osborne talking about insuring #AI models and how this is necessary for widespread adoption. Thanks for organising Professor Shivaji Sondhi and others

Great to have Jannik Zürn from Wayve visit the Oxford Robotics Institute University of Oxford and present their work on foundation models and simulation models.


Piano playing robot designed and built from scratch by one of the Oxford Robotics Institute talented engineers (Matthew Graham). A good demonstration of the calibre of engineers we are lucky to have supporting us.


After an amazing journey with Oxford Robotics Institute and Oxford Applied AI Lab at the University of Oxford, I'm moving on to new things in 2025. Grateful for the opportunity to work with the fantastic people and contribute to the world leading research happening here! Stay tuned to see what's next!


Visited the robotics lab at WashingtonUniversity yesterday. Thanks Siddhartha Srinivasa and Yi Ru (Helen) Wang for showing us around! Saw a few bimanual manipulation setups for projects run by Sid and Abhishek Gupta


Why are bimanual robots required in the future? Take this occluded grasping task where it is impossible to grasp the object without adding your own constraints to the environment. Really cool work lead by Jun Yamada at Oxford Applied AI Lab
