Achilles Tendons recurrent theme at ISTS València is: 1. a lot of Achilles patients are sedentary. 2. The VISA-A is still being used despite not being appropriate in this population 3. The VISA-A (sedentary) hasn’t been mentioned once. Hopefully in time, the uptake improves!!

Homeward bound after a great few days at the ISTS_2023 Conference, presenting results from the OPTimisE Research Trial. Brilliant venue! Interesting to learn from lower limb researchers and came away with some transferable ideas.

Proud of Jie Deng en Tjerk Sleeswijk Visser for their work, which was awarded at #ISTS2023! Many thanks to the ISTS_2023 organisation for this fantastic congress. See you all during the next 2025 edition.

Great few days with Tendon Research Group @ UD at ISTS_2023 finally meeting in person several collaborators and many other amazing tendon researchers. Great to present some of our metabolic findings from our Achilles tendinopathy study. Headed home with many great conference takeaways.
