A Land So Wide is beautifully eerie, misty, and atmospheric... very much Erin A. Craig’s thing. Just don’t expect a proper adult fantasy. A Land So Wide is more like a YA in a grown-up coat. 3.5 āļø — Full review: goodreads.com/review/show/78…

Gemma Amor never misses. Itch is folk horror meets body horror: small-town isolation, creeping dread, a broken protagonist & one corpse in the woods that unravels everything. Disturbing, atmospheric, slow-burn 🐜 Review on Goodreads: goodreads.com/review/show/79…

I’m only about 30% in but I’m loving it so far. The writing has that lyrical touch, but never drifts into purple, just flows beautifully. It isn’t really a letter format; reads like a stream of thought. It is already emotional. I feel like this will be a 5⭐

My original goal was 80 books (as always) when the year started. Then life happened… and then Expedition 33 happened so I lowered it to 50. Now I’m finally almost there! If I reach 50 this month, I’m bumping it up to 60.

My review for Daedalus is Dead (Seamus Sullivan) is up! A Greek myth retelling novella packed with heartbreak, grief and regret told in lyrical stream-of-consciousness prose that left me with goosebumps. šŸ“– Review: goodreads.com/review/show/79…

Today someone told me that 'fantasy books do nothing but give you a sweet escape. They all end well, with good people always winning.' WTF HAVE I BEEN READING ALL THIS TIME?? I honestly can’t remember the last fantasy book that left me all warm and fuzzy. YOU’RE ALL BAD PEOPLE!

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 OST is a masterpiece, and this is a truly deserved win. Congratulations šŸŽ‰ Up next: GOTY, BAFTA, and Grammy

10/10 Haven’t had a game hit me like this in years — maybe ever. Five playthroughs down, halfway through the sixth and it hasn’t left my mind since late April. It’s one of those rare stories that changes you a bit.

Normally I read ~80 books a year, but this year I just can’t focus. I’ve been so slow and there are too many great games (not even mentioning Expedition 33 (400 hours and counting šŸ˜…). Dropped my goal to 50 earlier; was gonna raise it, but nope… my reading challenge is done! šŸŽ‰

Just finished Unseen Gods by Justin Holley. Occult horror, folk rituals, and one smartypants cat named Crowley. Creepy, weird, atmospheric fun (even if I didn’t care who survived šŸ˜…). My full review’s up on Goodreads šŸ‘‡ goodreads.com/review/show/79…

Took me over a month to finish this cursed thing and it was an audiobook. No idea why I didn’t just DNF it. Mrs. Lovett doesn’t even meet Sweeney Todd until 70%, and their ā€œpartnershipā€ is barely a subplot. If it were about some random woman, it would’ve been way more interesting
