The #NJDevils trimmed plenty of fat up front and will replace them with some quality depth pieces in Connor Brown, Evgenii Dadonov, and (hopefully) Arseni Gritsyuk. That's not nothing – but they could still really use another top-6 F who can also serve as center insurance.

Dawson Mercer produced offense with low-end 3rd line efficiency last season and had far too many stretches where he wasn't noticeable. Getting back to the version we saw over the first two years of his career would really help the #NJDevils.
