In 2015, we were proud to welcome Vertiport Chicago🚁 to the IMD! 🚁 As Chicago’s only vertical helicopter landing facility following the closure of Meigs Field in 2003, Vertiport serves as a regional hub for lifesaving EMS services, sightseeing tours, events, and so much more.

In 2022, The MortonArboretum Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI) partnered with the IMD to plant 30 trees during a community event. 🌳 Only July 30, we returned to the site for a re-mulching workday to care for those young trees. 🪏
