I don't think most people realize the value of their independence and their freedom until it's gone. I wouldn't trade being able accountable to any corporate overload for all the billions in the world. Once you pass the "more money won't change a thing" point, the bit flips.

It continues to blow my mind that "it's just a few bad apples" is being used as an excuse to do nothing, when the proverb is literally "a few bad apples SPOILS THE BUNCH". The moral lesson is not about the existence of bad apples, but that failure to remove them SPOILS THE BUNCH.

honestly, I dreaded the schooling part of college. It was a wonderful social experience, but learned very few things useful for life. I took a course on critical thinking in my freshman year. that was useful. the rest, eh.
