Lifting weights has a massive unseen benefit. If you stick with it, you begin to see yourself differently. Your literal identity begins to shift. Why? Because you are proving again and again that you are who you say you are. True confidence comes from evidence.

Too many guys out here setting crazy goals. Don't get me wrong. High standards are great. BUT The real benefits come from habits. Small, realistic changes stack way faster than grand, volatile goal chasing.

Hot take: Go to the gym for 30 days before you start working with a trainer. Don't waste your money before you know you'll follow through.

Too many guys out here stone-cold in the gym. Dude, smile. It's a marathon, not a sprint. You might as well find a way to enjoy the process. Tomorrow is coming and you'll need enthusiasm if you want to keep the habit going.

If you can't lift for 30min, lift for 20min. If you can't run for 30min, run for 10min. If you can't make the gym for 5 days/week, go for 3 days. Push yourself just past your current limit.

Find friends who are savages in the gym. Friends who will push you, correct your form, and hold you accountable to showing up daily. The more honest they are, the better you'll become.

Consistent exercise is as much a mental game as it is a physical game. Work out early when you have will power. Get quality sleep so you recover both mind and body. If you want to go the distance, you can't neglect half of the equation.

If you want to 10x your focus during your gym time: Take 3 deeeep breaths and then exhale as slow as you can on the last one. You'll be zeroed in for your next set, guaranteed.

Someone once asked me "how do you make time for the gym?" Absolutely backwards. I START my schedule with gym time, and work around it.
