12Z MOGREPS seems to have massively upgraded the idea of falling snow in its ensemble suite for Sunday, but I reckon it'll probably moderate down closer to the time.

Latest from the Met Office showing where the most likely snow accumulations are on Sunday. Northern hills favoured although perhaps a slushy mix to lower levels for a time. Accumulations much more patchy further south. Details etc to be firmed up on in coming days.

Significant warmth developing across Europe in the coming days with temperatures >10°C above average for the time of year. With the prospect of a strong El Niño developing by summer, it’s plausible summer could be a scorcher.

A major stratospheric warming event is now well underway. This could potentially promote blocking patterns later this month albeit unlikely to be the high latitude / cold producing type. Late SSW’s can lead to +NAO patterns, i.e drier and warmer through spring.
