Good luck to my boys tonight! James is a Grad Assistant for athletic department at Santa Clara and Liam an intern with sports medicine for UCI. Both work alongside the Boys basketball programs who are in the NIT tournament. If both win, Santa Clara will take on UCI!

Absolutely great idea from Coach Wais and AD Leuschner! Kids got to have the day they earned through countless hours on the field, on the court, and on the track! And to have all their Varsity athlete peers there to cheer them on was extra special! #ColtStrong

Michaela Bubak (and Rob Brokaw) are THE very best in Arizona at what they do. They’ve put together a collegiate strength program at Casteel High School that outpaces every other program by a MILE! They live, eat, and breathe this stuff. We’re incredibly fortunate to have them!

Best part of the Masters: no cell phone policy. People just living in the moment, cheering, and dialed in to the action. Part of the reason it has such a different feel.

I go through 4-5 too, but they’re usually out of bounds or in the bottom of a lake.

If people keep paying fees, basketball club events will keep charging them. It’s up to the clubs themselves to say, “No - we’re not playing in your event if you’re charging that much for entry fees and parking”. Hard to hold an event if there aren’t any teams.

Unpopular opinion: If I could go back and do it all again, I would have taken all the money I dumped into club ball and spent it on athletic performance, strength, movement, and a sport psychologist. Any money left over would have gone to a nutritionist.
