Can’t imagine why the NCAA put this guy on the stand as their expert witness in O’Bannon. Even the federal judge chuckled when their expert tried to explain what he’d written. Going forward, we should refer to the NCAA as the “anticompetitive cartel known as the NCAA.”

Hindsight’s 20/20, but at some point, perhaps the NCAA should have added “we’ll make at least some effort to comply with the law” to its mission statement. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have a suggestion for the college sports alarmists who say the NCAA’s decision to create a new transfer and NIL rule has “ruined” college sports and want someone to blame: Blame the members of Congress who passed the Sherman Act 134 years ago. They won’t care. They’re dead.

Alarmists say the NCAA’s decision to create a new transfer rule has “ruined” college sports. Ten years ago, they said the O’Bannon case was “where college athletics as we know them may have come to die.” They were wrong. College sports flourished instead. grantland.com/features/ncaa-…

The NCAA sent Jim Harbaugh's attorney, Tom Mars, a 'letter of admonition' because Tom--again, an attorney for Harbaugh-- publicly advocated for his client in ways NCAA, an adverse party, found objectionable. NCAA threatened Harbaugh because of Tom's advocacy. Is this America?
