Those who ban women from national life, like the #Taliban, are saying none of these achievements should have happened. The world would have been a poorer, more ignorant & more violent place. That's exactly what will happen to #Afghanistan if #AfghanWomen are erased from society.

The first International Day to Combat Islamophobia is a call for action to stamp out the poison of anti-Muslim hatred. Discrimination diminishes us all. We must stand up against it. Today & every day, we must counter the forces of division by reaffirming our common humanity.
