☀️ World-first views of the Sun’s south pole! What if we could look at the Sun from a whole new angle, one we've never seen before? From Earth, we always look towards the Sun's equator. This year, the ESA-led Solar Orbiter mission broke free of this ‘standard’ viewpoint by

Borges is right. Paradise is a kind of library, especially if it's the Starfield Library, a bookstore in Seoul. Yes, those are all books.

⚡Thunderstorms, lightning, and other events in the upper atmosphere can disrupt systems on the ground and pose a threat to aircraft. However, these events are difficult to observe from the ground. Read how scientists use instruments on the International Space Station to study these

🤩 This magical, mystical scene of a star cluster within a nebula is about 8,000 light-years away. The brightest object in the picture was once thought to be a single star with 200-300 times the mass of the Sun, but Hubble discovered that it's actually two separate stars.

Sometimes we see lightning strikes that illuminate an entire city at once. This is Singapore last night, and that was a huge thunderstorm. It’s hard to believe, but these pictures were taken all in the span of 1/40 of a second!
