Very delighted and honored to write this FEMS Microbio Rev with Chris Greening. This review focuses on termite-engineered microbial communities of termite nest structures. academic.oup.com/femsre/advance…

Sharing the final version of our review with @hongjieli1 at FEMS explaining how termites engineer microbes of their nests / mounds / fungal gardens. These communities benefit termites in multiple ways and are globally significant (e.g. CH4 cycling). academic.oup.com/femsre/advance…

Impactful words by Carolyn Bertozzi today on how diversity in her trainees enabled creativity, not playing by the rules, and ultimately the work that built the field of bioorthogonal chemistry. Diverse science leads to better science!
