Happy and super excited to share our discovery of a protein fractal! We unravel the surprisingly simple emergence of these marvellous structures and show it might have even been an accident of evolution. Read the full story here

My piece on experimental design and causal inference in ecology & evolution is out in Ecology Letters to day. I'll provide some context on why I think inadequate experimental design in our field is limiting inferences & causing papers to be rejected 🧵onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.11…

This is awesome. Being able to measure per-cell respiration rates (rather than dividing bulk-measured rates by the total number of cells) in a low energy natural, anoxic setting is unprecedented!

Sharing this great new book chapter on aerobic carbon monoxide dehydrogenases written by David Gillett. These widespread enzymes regulate air pollution and support soil/marine biodiversity by using carbon monoxide as an energy source. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/97…

Check out my lab's first work on membrane proteins!
Yes, we knew nothing about detergent😜, so we directly imaged proteins within native membrane!
