Today, on Firefighters Memorial Day, we honour the brave firefighters who died in the line of duty. Our thoughts are with their families, friends, and the colleagues they left behind.

10:31 crews from Cheshunt Fire Station were mobilised to reports of a fire in the open near Beaumont Road, Wormley. On arrival crews found 1 small fire in woods and used a backpack sprayer and hosereel to extinguish the fire.

15:24 crews from Rickmansworth assisted our colleagues at a property in Loudwater in extricating a time critical patient. Crews used a slix stretcher and were able to quickly remove the patient leaving them in the care of the ambulance crews #workingtogether

Green Watch have had a busy afternoon dealing with various incidents around Hertfordshire. Our crews have attended fires in the open, alarm activations, a lift rescue and many more. We are now preparing to handover to Red Watch for the evening and will return tomorrow at 20:00 👋

1001 - Control was made aware of a 90 year old male stuck in a lift in a property in Northwood. Crews from Watford Fire Station are on route to assess and release the male from the lift. #allcallstartwithcontrol

1026 - Control was made aware of a smoke alarm activation to a property in Merry Hill, Bushey. Crews from Watford Fire Station are on route to assess the situation.

1030 - Control was made aware of an Smoke alarm going off in a property in Wilbury Way, Hitchin. Crews from Hitchin Fire Station are on route to assess the situation.

1036 - Control was made aware of a person locked in a bedroom in a property in Watford. Crews from Garston Fire Station are on route to assist and release the individual.

1046 - Control was made aware of a fire in a field near the DeHaviland Museum in London Colney. Crews from @StAlbansfire are in attendance and assessing the situation.

1102 - EEAST Ambulance Service contacted control about a member of public that has fallen down a roadway embankment. Crews from HEMEL HEMPSTEAD FIRE are in attendance assisting the safe rescue of the member of public.

1245 - EEAST Ambulance Service requested help with a person who has been suspected of carbon monoxide Poisoning Crews from Stevenage are in attendance along with Ambulance Crews to assess the property residents.

1331 - Control was made aware of a disposable BBQ that has set some wood alight. Cheshunt Fire Station are on route to assess the situation.

1422 - Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service handed over a misrouted 999 call which was a tree over hanging the road in Kings Langley. Crews from HEMEL HEMPSTEAD FIRE are on route to assess the situation and deal with accordingly.
