James Titcombe My own PhD “Are you Listening to me” completed in 2017 showed that we were headed for this perfect storm. Not enough beds, women repeatedly turned away, told they were not in Labour, midwives forced to act as gatekeepers to a restricted service.

James Titcombe More inductions on grounds of ‘safety’ and then delayed due to no beds or no staff. Production- line obstetrics serves no-one well, least of all mothers and babies. The 2008 crash coupled with Govt policy has been a disaster for maternity care.

James Titcombe The outcomes of Ockenden investigation could be the same in many OU’s nationwide. The system is broken, THAT is why babies and mother’s and families have come to harm. Those midwives standing up for normal birth will not be silenced on this.

James Titcombe Are we not to follow the science? The evidence? Rigorous research has repeatedly shown how to improve outcomes for mothers and babies. We must ask ourselves, why are we not following it? We are creating more fear and dread for women instead of providing CoC

Apparently the Sunak government is not remotely bound by the decisions of the Truss government. Hence the sacked Braverman returns six days later. So how about King Charles now goes to COP. Be good if the world saw a UK leader who cared about the environment.

Let’s be honest: Brexit isn’t working. British exporters are struggling, our living standards are falling and the UK is now the only G7 country with a smaller economy than before the pandemic. Unless we face up to the harm Brexit is causing we can't start to address it.

I just signed the petition demanding that Kemi Badenoch refuses to break our environmental commitments in exchange for cheap #PalmOil - putting orangutans, elephants & rhinos at risk. Will you join me? 38d.gs/gpyq

I just signed the petition demanding Liz Truss is denied a resignation honours list. 49 days in office should not justify her getting to promote her friends to a lifetime seat in the Lords. Will you sign too? you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/liz-… via 38 Degrees
