Wonderful wooden angel carvings located in Saints Peter and Paul's Church, Cork City, Cork. This church is jam-packed with fabulous features. I hadn't visited in years until recently. #woodensday #wallsonwednesday #windowsonwednesday #churches #ireland

Remains of a C12 chapel at the Lower Brockhampton Estate, Herefordshire. Clergy services were recorded until 1402 then it was likely to have been used as a ‘chapel of ease’ before falling into disuse. #windowsonwednesday #wallsonwednesday

St Bartholomew’s Church, Benthall Hall, Shropshire. Built 1667-68. The previous church was destroyed in the civil war. Now looked after by the NT - also houses a little bookshop. #steeplesaturday

What a beautiful early evening light in Worcester. The Severn is as still as a pond & this great river cathedral is bathed in golden light. #medievalmonday

Back with Holy Trinity Church, Much Wenlock, Shropshire for #steeplesaturday Photo shows the “twin bell-openings of the originally Saxon type” (Pevsner) and the south porch which contains a C14 priest’s dwelling above.
