One of the most enjoyable and privileged parts of the job, welcoming our newest On-call trainee firefighters. Such a diverse group from different backgrounds, countries and life experience. We’re lucky to have them. #TeamNFRS Northumberland County Council

This week is International Control Room Week - dedicated to celebrating those in control rooms around the country - including our fab team here at NFRS. You may not see them fighting fires, but they play a critical role in keeping our communities and our front-line crews safe 👏

Our rescue boat operators travelled to Menai in North Wales to complete their recertification to safely operate the rescue craft. It was a challenging training environment to enable our teams to operate effectively and safely in swiftwater and flood conditions. Graeme Binning
