People who serve on the highest court in the land should have to follow commonsense ethical standards. As part of my plan to root corruption out of Washington, I’ve got a bill to make Supreme Court justices follow a binding code of ethics.

Here’s the way I see it: you can be a member of Congress, or you can own and trade individual stocks, but you shouldn’t be able to do both at the same time. I will keep pushing to make that the law.

Imagine if we proposed homeowners be responsible for maintaining street bordering their property. They have to clear snow, sweep leaves, fix potholes, repaint lines… Everyone’d say that’s insane. Yet that is exactly what City of Seattle Seattle Department of Transportation do for sidewalks.

What happened to the real time display sign on NE 65th St at 12th Ave NE. It disappeared quite some time ago. @RoosieStation

In Canada in the 70’s/80’s I was taught the “states’ rights” myth and was told the Civil War was not about slavery.

"the capital gains tax... applies to the sale of stocks and bonds exceeding $250,000..." Not accurate - the tax applies to PROFIT on sales of stocks/bonds over $250K. Big difference. Don't mean to pick on The Seattle Times bec this is common, but it's wrong. seattletimes.com/seattle-news/e…

In the United States you can get a $7500 tax credit to buy a $55,000 electric car but you can’t get a $7500 tax credit to rent a condo in a walkable neighborhood where you don’t need a car. And they call it “climate policy.”

Unpopular (among people who don’t use transit) opinion: Any holiday that has free street #parking should have free #transit fares.

“Public transpo barely exists and where it does, it gets you to the bar and then stops working before the bar closes.” My idea: Fed law that says local last call must be 30min before frequent #transit stops running. Not sure what to do about places w no transit.
