A conference bragging about games being close is one of the most moronic things I have ever seen in CFB discourse. That narrative means there are no elite teams beating up teams. Everyone playing close games means nobody is elite.

This off-season I should build NIL models for all 18 Big Ten schools. Map out business owners that are alumni, major corporations that have done business with the school and stuff like that. Then it can be used.

LSU is a mess right now. For Penn State vs Florida, this isn't even close. PSU has larger football spend, better facilities, more invested alumni for NIL, richer alumni, larger alumni base, $700M stadium renovations, THE football school in the NE, and more.

Starbucks could create an NIL deal that is conference wide if they wanted to and have a food product named after a player or the whole conference and sold in stores across the country or within Big Ten states. There's a lot of ideas out there that can be explored.

Tomorrow night I'm going to have a post about NIL in the Big Ten, donor support and how it will evolve, and a creeative workaround (legal) for NIL+ Rev share. Big Ten focus. And only for Big Ten people. So no stealing the post "outsiders." Had an inside convo on this.

I know we aren't going to get the truth, and nor would anyone say why if I asked, for why Michigan decided to drop the NCAA appeals, but I do it find it interesting they dropped it.

Correction = he has the SEC in the palm of his hand, not college football at large. There are coaches out there that can be hired with actual championships to their name. FACT! The fact SEC schools are drolling over him shows how far quality HC candidates has fallen in the SEC

I can respect his stance that it come from the AD and not Ted. With that said, I've been saying this over and over, it does no good to fire the head coach if the foundational challenges are not fixed. This program needs at minimum of $40M of immediate infusion of investment

I'd go with Mendoza. But only by a hair over Sayin. That could change during the Michigan game or conference title game. These two should be #1 and #2 going into Nov.

PSA: In the world of CFB, yes history will show us what we call bluebloods. But, moving forward, in the NIL era, being a blueblood program is meaningless. It is all about the money now. You either have the money or you don't. Those that don't will continue to slide back.
