📢#TeamTomo We are hiring! Gatsogiannis Lab Universität Münster - 2 PostDoc Positions. Start Jan.2024, cutting-edge #tomo projects, top instruments (Krios G4, Aquilos2 iFLM), young and dynamic team, beautiful Stadt Münster, come and join us! Contact me for more details and please RT 👇🏻!

This was a tour de force. I'm happy that Davide Tamborrini didn't give up and pushed the project forward. It's like swimming from France to Italy - it's tough but doable if you really want it. Davide did both - the former with great support from MPI Dortmund and King's College London teams. 🙏

Very excited to share our preprint on the multi-state kinetics of the syringe-like injection mechanism of Tc toxins. Great collaboration between the Raunser Stefan Raunser MPI Dortmund, Seidel Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, BordignonLab Faculty of Science | UNIGE and Dong Harvard Medical School labs. biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 1/3

Revolution at the #T10SS front! Contradicting previous studies. Therefore, we had to fight hard for the publication of this story, Reviewer #1 seemed to have a clear mission but failed - thanks @naturemicobiol for staying with us. Check the reviewer file: static-content.springer.com/esm/art%3A10.1…

So proud that our Tc toxin release story with Stefan Raunser was featured on the cover of today's Nature Microbiology issue! 🎉 Check out this 💥explosive 💥tale here: nature.com/articles/s4156…

On one hand, I think the TomoTwin video tutorial makes it much more accessible. But on the other hand as Thorsten Wagner warned me, as soon as we update the UI or the workflow we need a new video tutorial… this quickly becomes a lot of work

I’m proud to present the first preprint of my lab FMP Berlin, reporting how Fusobacterium nucleatum binds to the human host via its adhesin Fap2: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… A big thanks to Felix Schöpf, @CFcryo , Gian Luca Marongiu, Klaudia Milaj, Judith Kikhney and Annette Moter.

🔬 Preprint alert! α-latrotoxin from the black widow spider 🕷️ revealed! Check out this intricate mechanism of how the toxin inserts into the membrane and converts to a cation channel! First #cryoEM work #cryoEM_SON Universität Münster @Sfb1348. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

The @TobiasRaisch group together with Stefan Raunser has solved the #cryoEM structure of the Slo1 potassium channel and suggest a novel activation mechanism of voltage-gated ion channels! Congrats to Tobi on his first last author paper! febs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/18…

Our latest work on #actin assembly is now online Science Magazine! We show how #formins bind and move with the growing barbed end of F-actin. Awesome collab. between Stefan Raunser and Bieling labs MPI Dortmund, and big thanks to co-first author Micaela Boiero Sanders science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

"One Ring to rule them all": Researchers from the groups of @peterbieling & Stefan Raunser Max Planck Society unveil at the molecular level how ring-like formin proteins promote actin filament growth in cells. ➡️mpi-dortmund.mpg.de/en/news/how-ac…
