Liz Kendall just categorically, wrongly stated: 'PIP is not an in-work benefit,' followed by cries of, 'IT IS!' She should be sacked for lying to Parliament. #WelfareReformBill #TakingThePIP

Anne Greensmith 💙 (@snowleopardess) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I heard her say it too. The lie that PIP is an out of work benefit has been told time and time again by Labour Ministers over the past weeks. Kendall must be forced to apologise to the House. House of Commons Speaker The Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP

Let me be clear: this is actively traumatic for disabled people. We’re treated as economic bodies—worth less if we can’t work—and not even consulted. It’s retraumatising after years of this, worse because it’s Labour, and worse still because of the scale of cuts. #TakingThePIP

DWP seem to have clarified that this isn’t the case & was a bit of confusion over review vs reassessment: DWP says people who receive PIP prior to Nov 2026 won’t have to meet 4 point rule for life of their claim including at any award reviews (PIP has reviews not reassessments.)

We can not say it loud enough PIP IS NOT AN OUT OF WORK BENEFIT!!! The incorrect media and government narrative on this needs to change immediately. People are already suffering and will continue to suffer even further if this bill is not stopped. ✨THREE QUARTERS of the

"There's a sense of betrayal about the Timms Review" Labour MP Olivia Blake is still concerned by the Government's plans to cut disability benefits. #Newsnight

“It was falling apart in the Commons today because MPs were exposing so many holes in the government’s plans,” Maskell told the Guardian. “The PM talked about ‘noises off’ but what we’re doing is raising the voices of disabled people. It was them he was treating with contempt.”

I have signed Rachael Maskell’s new reasoned amendment along with other Greens and MPs from multiple parties - the Bill must fall.

Harry Cole says on @Skynews #PressPreview that "people are claiming PIP with a 5 minute phone interview". WTAF? The application process involves a lengthy form, submitting a lot of evidence and a lengthy assessment. How can he be so ignorant and why no challenge? #TakingThePIP

One thing that won’t be in the news, while the police investigate bob vylan for chanting “death to the idf”, is that zionists tried to attack disabled people at a protest and told them to “fuck off and die”

I'm standing with disabled people. I’m voting NO to disability benefit cuts. The Government must press pause and rework this policy working alongside disabled people's charities and groups. DPAC

Alex Wickham But he was ok putting another 50k kids into poverty with welfare cuts plus 250k disabled people. Labours poverty ambitions was to drive the most impoverished in society into destitution.

And so it begins. A new Party is born. The established Parties, the media and the establishment in general will try to kill it before it can take off. Now more than ever the left needs to unite. ✊ Solidarity.

Red-Green alliance is an essential now. 60+ seats up for grabs. Decisive block in the next Parliament and the route towards a government of the left. Let’s go.

No one claims disability benefits because they are entitled. Applying is dehumanising and involves not only a stack of evidence that disability is well established, but also intrusive, very often triggering questions about very intimate parts of our lives. I shall be complaining.
