In an effort to take advantage of my annual pass we ventured to the Fletcher creek ecological preserve. This hidden gem is part of the Hamilton CA Absolutely beautiful with crystal clear water.

Today's hike within the Hamilton CA was through another fairly unknown but beautiful Conservation area. Parked at Saltfleet and hiked the rail trail to the Devil's Punchbowl. Beautiful wildlife and scenery.

interesting hike today, walked a stretch of the Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail. Parked at Summit Bog which is part of the Hamilton CA but the entire rail trail is a co-op effort with the Grand River Conservation Authority lots of history including the ruins of the old water towers.

Algonquin was hit hard by last night's storm and has sustained storm damage. We are still assessing the damage and will update when we have more information. The park remains open, but there may be delays. Please consider visiting another day. 1/2

Effective on Thursday, August 21, 2025, the fire ban at Six Mile Lake Provincial Park has been lifted. Do not leave campfires unattended and continue to put out fires completely when you are not tending them.
