In the rush to demonise sunlight exposure as the universal cause of skin cancers, there has been a total disregard of the fact that inadequate exposure to ultraviolet light is linked to colon cancer. Responsible tanning can help to protect us. theladders.com/career-advice/…

So true! Some people’s feelings are so strong and are repeated so often that eventually their opinions morph into facts. They turn to social media to find like minded people who only agree with them. This may make them feel better, or indeed virtuous, but doesn’t reflect reality

Thankfully more healthcare providers are awakening to the truth that humans can not be healthy long term avoiding the Sun. Proper sun exposure is your ā€œvaccineā€ to chronic disease and improves outcomes to respiratory viruses. ā˜€ļøšŸ’ŖšŸ»

The anti sunshine brigade has become like a black hole, sucking in common sense, medical fact or anything progressive at all into its destructive core. More and more medical experts are exposing their ill thought through and indeed malevolent scaremongering. #responsibletanning

I have always maintained that it is safer to tan on a sunbed than in sunshine. A professional sunbed is a controlled environment and trained staff at Sunbed Association member salons are there to advise. Always use mineral based sunscreens in sunshine tinyurl.com/y45scxaf

Stay away from negative people. It's only a matter of time before their negativity jumps on you. Negativity breeds failure. Stating ā€˜decaying Britain’ is as fatuous as it is pernicious

Sunshine is nature’s way of helping us to sustain good health. Humans evolved in a sunlit environment and our modern lifestyles are very much based indoors, so we are not getting our evolutionary exposure to sunlight. Go Layah! Enjoy the sunshine, just don’t burn. Simples šŸ˜Ž

I believe that sunshine is nature’s way of helping us to sustain good health but sadly, we do not see much of it in the UK. It’s like homeopathic medicine, too much can be dangerous, but in correct dosages, can certainly improve overall health scitechdaily.com/new-study-find…

Several studies conclude that regular, sensible, non-burning sun exposure and higher vitamin D levels are related to decreased incidence of melanoma and increased melanoma survival rates grassrootshealth.net/blog/real-rela…

For years we’ve been told to avoid sun to prevent skin cancer. But research suggests a dose of rays can boost your immune system and increase lifespan. Enjoy the sun, just don’t burn! theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2…

While both Vitamin D from sunlight and supplements provide the same D3 molecule, the way the body processes and utilizes them differs. When your skin is exposed to UVB rays, cholesterol is converted into pre-vitamin D3, which has unique biological properties that could even help
