Whatever happened to car paint colors / paint qualities like the paint on this 1971 Ford? (And no, whatever pic you send me of any stock-color green car from the last 25+ years, that green will not be this green.)

I never trust anything set up by a carnival or a local /county fair. When I was 14 I took a ride on this. I was the only person on it. The operator left me on for so long. I think he took a long break or something. All my blood went to my feet. Almost passed out. Sick for days.

A trip to Michigan without visiting a Meijer isn't a trip to Michigan. (I know they now have Meijer in other places, but the other ones don't seem to carry Vernors, a highly state-specific drink).

This creates a more durable seam. Whereas a machine-sewn lock stitch can unravel if only one stitch breaks, a hand-sewn saddle stitched seam has to be picked apart with a special tool. This is why it was traditionally used to make horse riding equipment — it's failsafe.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires will continue to filter over the area through tonight, producing hazy skies like the past couple days. A cold front will bring showers and some storms across the area Tuesday night, with cooler conditions and periods of rain expected on Wednesday.

🟧 Alan Charles Dennett New York Times Games What was wrong with the Bee this morning was ... not much. The problem was, the Times published the wrong set of hints on their site this morning. Then, rather than correcting the hints when the puzzle didn't match, they published the matching puzzle a bit before 9:00 am.

Jay Town Dee Kirby Gavin Newsom This is an absolutely brain dead misunderstanding, If a town has a population of 100, and 10 people are killed annually, is it less violent than a city of 100,000 with 12 people killed annually?
