Yet another short-sighted move by our government to continue freeze on alcohol duty. Nonsensical and v depressing.

We have responsibility as clinicians to think about our language. ‘Alcohol-related’ not ‘alcoholic’. ‘Relapse’ not ‘recidivism’, recognising the myriad reasons for AUD (trauma/MH/socially acceptable/genes-not ‘lifestyle choice’.) Compassionate conversations to/about patients.
