ONS have published alcohol-specific deaths data for 2022 for England & Wales today, so we now have data for the whole of the UK. The picture is pretty grim, with deaths surpassing 10,000 for the first time on record - up 32.8% since 2019.

#Stigma can prevent people seeking help, whether for #MentalHealth or #Addiction . As Ashwin Dhanda says, ' The more stigma [people] experience, the more self-stigma they develop', leading them to believe they deserve negative treatment.
