A great piece by Jennifer Buckingham. Thanks for sharing @MmeLockhartLDSB. On this debate, I find solace in the old Chinese proverb - “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." From 2025, we’re mandating 25 minutes daily explicit phonics teaching.
