I have been wishing and hoping for ages that someone would create a 'reading spine' aka scope and sequence of texts, and I am glad that Rebecca Birch Emina McLean and Ochre Education are the someones who did! Haven't had a chance to it explore fully yet but looking forward to

CESE's latest is a very complementary read to the great success story at Cessnock HS. Focusing on quality teaching (relevance, explicit teaching, feedback), high expectations, and attending to student wellbeing through advocacy at school can make all the difference for students.

Completely unconvinced by this. What ‘kind’ of research? With what degree of fidelity? How implemented? In what type of curriculum? Were prerequisite conditions in place (e.g. behaviour).

We’re nearly back at the ‘research doesn’t matter’ phase before we’ve properly started.
