Just finished Vincent “Jell-O” Aiello’s book ‘Through the Yellow Visor’ on his life as a Navy fighter pilot and highly recommend it. It’s written with a great deal of personal detail, giving the full arc from a childhood dream through to retirement. It has some great flying

Just saw a very bright meteor come in over the Mississippi gulf coast at ~1:20 local time. From Ocean Springs looking southwest about 30-45 degrees elevation it came down vertically. Color was bright white center with a lot of green and blue. Not sure if WLOX has cam feeds

“The nest was sprayed in order to kill the wasps, and was then bagged as radiological waste.” It could have been the start of something big, but it turns out radioactive wasps don’t have superpowers. Unless of course they were just pretending to die….
